I remember being on a C7 caribou going from Alabama to Texas.
The crew chief came back to tell us we had lost an engine.
We all looked at each other and stood up.
The NCO in charge looked at the crew chief and said, "You want us to get out and look for it?"

Rest In Peace with the Lord United States 41st President. You loved and dedicated your self to serving your country with humility. You left a legacy behind and you will always be remembered.

My heart is breaking for those involved with this sad tragedy. I can only offer my sad thoughts and prayers. My son is assigned to a F/A 18 squadron.

2 out of 7 is not good news. Here's hoping they find the others alive.

In air fueling and hot fueling is dangerous but necessary. People need to realize that training can be just as dangerous as the real deal, so if a service member never steps foot in a war zone he/she still put their lives on the line for us all daily

It's just speculation at this point but you would have to think that there was some sort of collision between the KC-130 and the F/A-18.

2 Marines found.... i think one alive suggests the fa-18 crew.... They will be looking for the crew for the tanker...

Flying for our nation is not w/o its risks...
Even the best trained people can have mishaps.

So this is news with no news. What happened?

    Midair crashes are not "mishaps".

Truly unfortunate. Having experience with this sort of search and rescue operation it's sad but if they've already found one and not the others then it's bad news.

Let us hope for the best.

Jesus, both the KC-130 and the F/A-18 went down?
