From what I see in global statistics not just USA our problem is NOT infertility but what does it matter? Since science wants to replace everything with robots we wont need hoards of people but believe me it will still feel like it.

"US fertility rate hits 30-year low"

So the rallying cry is " We don't need anymore immigrants, asylum seekers or migrants! KEEP THEM OUT.

Yet it's been reported for awhile that if present trends continue in the U.S, adults 65 years and older will outnumber children by the year 2035. Now think about that...

"According to a new National Vital statistics report, the country's fertility rate, at a 30-year low, is 16 percent below the threshold needed for repopulation."

EMERGENCY - TEAR DOWN THAT WALL!!!!!

RE: Fertility rates. It's been a standard finding that as peoples' economic condition improves, they tend to have fewer children. I am not sure why, but in the past (and still in many countries) there is a very high rate of infant mortality. And one has more kids so there is someone around to take care of the parents in their old age. Something a lot more important in the days of family farms.
