"A lengthy prison term without treatment could turn him into a more dangerous offender,"

How about a lifetime sentence with no chance for parole? That should solve everything. And he deserves it.

So some nitwit in the court decided he wasn't likely to reoffend even though he had 4 years of sexual contact with a child starting when the child was 6 years old. Yet on Tuesday they found child porn on his computer. I'd say he's likely to reoffend.

... Why are they calling statutory rape 'sexual contact with a child?'

Would like to see the facts of this case. Something seems off, apart from the length of the sentence.

Re: "...At the time, Hulett was not eligible for sex-offender treatment in prison because the Corrections Department concluded that he was not likely to reoffend..."

I survived something, similar to this bestiary when i was about the same age...I say something, (Vs. 'someone'), because of the mutual dehumanization, involved. I can't imagine what WAS going through the 'minds', (on the court), that a 60-90 day sentence was even contemplated...

I suppose the corrections people who didn't think he'd re-offend would be comfortable having him around their young daughters?

    I'd bet not.

  • Hey Beavis

He abused that child for four years and they didn't think he'd reoffend? Stupid!

I'm sorry, but he should go to jail forever. "Not likely to reoffend?" Really??
